mrs chirwa

a group of girl guides from the uk had asked me to interview a young zambian for a project they are doing about different cultures. i took the opportunity to visit the chirwa's and ask martha some questions for the project. i took some photographs of martha doing the things she had described: cooking on a brazier, carrying water etc...

but it was this picture of mrs chirwa that stood out. isn't she just stunning? absolutely beautiful.

they showed me some of the dances from the different tribes. apparently they look very different but to me they just look like slight variations on obscene giration! awkward.

baby hannah is looking doing great. very happy and healthy!
