On the strip of University Ave; my supermarket. I don't know to what extent I've photographed this kind of development, but I encountered similar stuff infrequently in Europe. But imagine this, set far back from the road, massive parking lot, and then imagine the same thing next door with a different huge store. And then next door to that. For miles.
That's the American strip. The US is a country with so much territory, we waste it on soulless landscapes like this.
