Marathon 2012 - Registration
After school Chris and I took the children to the Excel for him to register for Sunday's London Marathon.
It will be the third time he's run it, he ran last in 2009 and in 2007. He has wanted to run it every year but had injuries and so Sunday is long anticipated.
Registration is a really fun event, there are loads of stalls and here Betsy and Al are pictured against 'The Wall' which is absolutely huge, with the words, 'How Will You Get Through It' in giant letters on it. Everyone writes messages of good luck, or in memory of people all over it. Betsy, Al and I wrote on it, it was already almost covered despite there being another full day of registration to go.
The NSPCC people (the charity Chris is running for) made such a huge fuss of the children, and piled t-shirts, flags, rattles, balloons and inflatables on them. They took their picture and pinned it on their good luck wall, with mroe good luck messages for Chris.
The children were shattered when we got home but we are all very excited about cheering for Chris on Sunday.
