9th Birthday Party

We were in Galway today, into McDonald's and then the cinema (Mirror Mirror) for the youngest daughter's bithday. I checked the Omniplex cinema details and the film was to last two hours and fifty minutes, I did think this was a tad long but believing all I read on the internet I sent out the invitations for the pick up at 5 pm. I was aghast at 4 pm when the film finished and we were all there in the foyer, myself and fourteen under nines with nothing to do and nowhere to go.
So needs must and we got a ball from the toyshop next door and headed to a strip of grass and played dodgeball, donkey and any other ball games we could think of to fill the hour. All a bit odd for passers by but needs must.
