Pen Collectors

In the picture are two pen collectors, one from Vancouver B.C. and the other from Seattle. They were sharing their pen collecting hobby at the Seattle Pen Club's meeting here in Bellingham. They come up twice a year and local collectors here and those from Vancouver gather with them to talk about and show off their latest finds. Arvin and I were the only Bellinghamsters today. We've pretty much quit collecting these days as pens have gotten much too expensive for our retirement budget. But we do like to keep in touch. And we do have a bunch of cool old pens we've collected since Arvin got interested in them in the late 1970s. Today we were mostly feeling social though we were lucky to win a large Parker desk pen base as a door prize. That will go into our display area and hopefully we have some pens that will fit it. We enjoy meeting our fellow collectors twice a year here in Bellingham.
