His Best Trick

There are the days we are starving for a blip and then there are days like today. Everywhere I turned there were people rejoicing in the first warm sunny Saturday of the year. Here in Portland we take to the parks, specifically Tom McCall Waterfront Park. I encountered kids (young and old) playing in Salmon Street Springs Fountain and the participation fountain by Saturday Market. There was a group with kites and another with hula hoops. I also sipped an iced coffee on the steps of Pioneer Courthouse Square and chatted with the locals.

I had to blip this fellow showing me his best trick. He actually was pretty good and I was thrilled with my timing on this shot.

Tomorrow I am volunteering for Columbia Slough Watershed Council at an Earth Day event. It is supposed to be sunny so I hope to get more bright blue skies.
