The calm before the storm

Here we were sitting on a bench and taking a few last snaps of a very peaceful Riva. Little did we know our driver who was supposed to get us to the airport for our flight (the same nutter who brought us here) would turn up over an hour late and cause us to miss our flight home. There were a few tears when we thought we may have to stay in Milan airport overnight and relief when we managed to get on standby for a flight to London. The travel company paid to taxi us from London to East Midlands and we were very happy to get home before bedtime. Very grateful for the couple who were stranded with us and we very quickly bonded with and my parents at home who were frantically contacting the travel company for us and promising to pick us up from anywhere we could get to. Phew!
