A Very Talented Lady
Today was the "Goodbye" service for Mother Comfort. It was a very nice service with many of her talents on display. She was an amazing lady. Many have "a" talent, she had "many" talents. This includes a painting of her only son Paul that she painted when he was 10 years old. In the painting are 3 of her beloved cats. The quilt is one of many that she made. All beautifully hand quilted. Then you will see a display of her beautifully hand painted plates, two woven pine needle baskets, beautifully carved woodwork, a leather jacket she made for her husband, the little violin she carved for son Paul. It's on the floor below the quilt. The horse on the table was hand molded of clay. Such an amazing lady. There was also a few quilt blocks completed, but not made into a quilt yet and a painting that wasn't finished. She worked as long as able and never quit. She still dreamed of doing more. Again I say - An amazing lady. We love you Alice and will miss you.
