Tribute

Today was a special day. A friend of mine, Shirley, passed away a couple of weeks ago and today her family and friends said goodbye and paid tribute to her by letting off balloons at the end of the pier in Southwold.

Shirley loved Southwold and loved photography. Just being there today made it clear how popular and loved she was. There were so many people who turned up with a balloon. This photo is just a few of them.

Unfortunately several of us didn't get our balloons filled with helium. So while the helium filled ones went up, up and away ours went up, down and into the sea!
