from where I am today

History

Feeling a bit uninspired blip wise today after Venice but went out anyway. My daughter had borrowed our car whilst we were gone and guess what? It needed fuel.

That turned out to be lucky as this was the car I followed into the filling station. I asked the driver and his friend if I could photograph the car - hence todays blip.

They are taking part in the London to Edinburgh Flying Scotsman Rally which oddly enough finishes in St Andrews. The car is a Marmon made in America by The Marmon Car Company founded in 1901 and stopped trading in 1933 (probably another victim of the wall street crash in 1929). There are only about 350 cars left in the world and this one is from the Netherlands.
