new leaves

I spent some time in the garden today, sitting with the binoculars and looking at birds. The first swallow arrived back, flying back and forwards over the house.

Dead-heading some daffodils, I looked up and saw these lovely new leaves. This tree is huge and has millions of conkers in the autumn.
