To be surprised....

24 hours on a ferry from Sitka to Ketchikan today and a brilliant way of enjoying the inside passage by boat. It was unbelievably beautiful.

After a couple of days of rain and clouds the sun was shining and I could enjoy the beauty of the scenery around: the snow capped mountains, the fjords, the wildlife ( saw a few humpback whales breaching which was amazing)... This country never stops surprising me. The highlight of the ferry ride was, however, without a doubt the sunset, the most stunning sunset I have ever seen. The sea was slowly rippling around the boat and the pink rays kept reflecting on the water with different shades and reflections....it is impossible to capture this beauty on camera!
