A Day Worth Recording

Day two in Matlock - walking out on the Derwent Valley Heritage Way initially (from which this shot is taken), then cross country to Winster, a curious village that used to be the biggest town in Derbyshire, being on the cusp of trade routes; and back.

Weather was extraordinarily good to us - out for four+ hours and almost all of it in sunshine, whilst rain fell in visible columns in the distance on either side.

Back to Matlock then to Wirksworth - home of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway for a BR-standard dry scone and some spam cans.

Home via Ray & Dawn's, meeting up with Ruth & David too at a local pub.
