Blowing my Own Trumpet

There is no blue quite like Gentian Blue. In this case it's Gentiana acaulis, the Trumpet Gentian. Seed raised a few years ago and producing more flowers each year, it reminds me of hiking trips in the Alps where it might even be flowering now. (Although the snow still lies deep in the places where I have seen it!)
