Time keeps on ticking - ticking..

So I thought today I'd buy a cheap clock to hang in my studio. I found one at the last minute (after thought) at B&m's. Nothing fancy or too brash, just a clock...that tells the time....but...I have a thing about ticking, I go through watches like no-man, because their ticking is too loud.
Now this clock just needed a battery , as luck would have it I had one (AA) put it in ..then listened for the tick...Hallalujha! it was very quiet :o)...until you put it up against a wall etc then it sounded like a constant water drip amplified 10 times :o(

I should have gone digital;o)
