Shiny fly on Scabious
Took a tour round the garden after body pump. The rain has encouraged the weeds and it is looking very green out there again. The bee border is coming back to life - this pink Scabious flower was already providing food for this fly (as were our numerous dandelions). The lavender is out too.
Got the ironing out of the way and then sat down to finish off 'Mill on the Floss', one of my book group books for this month. The problem with reading on a Kindle is that it is tricky to work out how big a book is - 80% does not really tell you much. Finally finished at around 7 pm having only been mildly distracted by the hail storms setting off next door's car alarm (several times).
The trouble with being in two book groups is that I should also have read 'The old curiosity shop' this month. Any chance of finishing that before Thursday?
