ladybug season?

The outside Christmas lights came down yesterday. This was a bit early for us actually ... last year it was August before they came down! We plunked the kids in the front yard to watch and after a few minutes there were ladybugs everywhere. My 6 month-old was grabbing them (nice pincer grasp!) and trying to eat them (less nice) while my son tried to grab as many as he could in his hands.
