Today, tonight is World Book Night. A time to show our passion for the written word and share our favourites.

I am a giver. I was chosen to give away this book, to try and get readers, reading. It's been an interesting experience.

People who can read, but don't, are amazing. The reasons seem to be so complex to avoid a pastime which gives so much pleasure to so many of us.
