An Ocean in the Valley

What with the temperatures in my part of the world going up and down like a yo-yo with the changing seasons, we have some rather interesting effects from the temperature fluctuations in the valley.

My blip taken on Saturday, 14th April, 2012, shows roughly the same section of the valley in todays blip, although you would be forgiven for thinking I have ocean front property today!

After the earth has warmed substantially during the day, then overnight the temperature drops drastically, this is the effect we wake up to the next morning.
