Hippo Trike

I spotted an interesting phenomenon today on Henley Street. Just outside the library a child on a tricycle was creating a little bit of a stir. Accompanied by well-known songs, and a very deep loud horn, this child was talking to the crowd, and occasionally squirting them with water.

It was only on closer inspection, after leaving the library, I realised this was not a child in fancy dress, but an amazing robot being cleverly controlled by two young men and their iPhones.

Cycling backwards and forwards, approaching people and holding conversations, the music always appropriate e.g. playing 'Granddad' when it talked to an old man, 'Woman In Red' when approaching a lady in a red coat etc.

No wonder this group of visitors were fascinated!

It finally cycled off into the middle of the pedestrianized area singing 'All On My Own'
