Quite a shocking day at work today, a midwife colleague died in the night at home, completely unexpectedly, aged only 38. RIP Sharon, wife, mother, daughter and loved colleague. I didn't know her well, but the disbelief and tragedy is everywhere in the hospital. The support and kindness shown by staff to one another was a very humbling experience.
