Pirate booty
This evening it's been continuing to experiment and mess around seeing what effects I can produce with lamps and candles etc.
I'm a bit of a collector of items with usual shapes or histories. This nautilus shell has been put through a painstaking process; the delicate shell is filled with hot resin and when cool, sliced vertically and the outer shell buffed away to reveal the perfect spiral -and pearl- within.
I wanted to find a way of presenting it with the light travelling through the structure, (I've also just finished reading Frenchman's Creek by Daphne Du Maurier so I suppose I had pirates and tresure floating around in my head too).
