Back to baths

I walk Reuben into school. Nicholas comes up to us and says "Hey Reuben, it's good to see you back at school". Several more of his classmate came up to guide him into class or smile at him. Choked. Last night with Kristina we opened the rest of the beautiful cards the kids had made at school after seeing Reuben on Skype when in hospital. I'll have to think of a pretty way to frame them all...feeling the love.

When the Olympic gold medallists visited UCLA Mattel Childrens Hospital last week, they came with the Fox TV crew. It's inspiring to watch the video through or we appear from .40 seconds. We are doing our secret sign for I love you Reuben. The biggest irony is that Jason and I were actually at the Athens Olympics and watched the 100m women's hurdle final, watching Joanna Hayes winning and receiving the same gold medal that 8 years later she placed on Reuben's neck.....totally surreal. We were so very fortunate to meet the incredible athletes and for the time they dedicated at the hospital.
