Tulips II
This is a composite of eighteen different photos shot at focal length of 100m. The object was to get the best characteristics of a wide angle view with very shallow depth-of-field.
Shooting with a standard wide-angle lens did not provide the very narrow depth of field desired, and shooting this image with a 100mm lens would have required standing a block away.
I locked in the focus, exposure, and white balance and then systematically shot a 6x3 overlapping grid of the grass and tulips.
Later I was able to stitch all eighteen shots together quite easily with either Photoshop's Photomerge tool or Windows Live Photo Gallery's Panorama tool. Both worked well...
