ANZAC Day 2012
ANZAC DAY is a day for Australians to cememorate the landing of our troops on the Gallipoli Peninsula in WWI in 1915.
Many dawn ceremonies are held around the world including at the site of the Gallipoli landing beaches in Turkey.
The Western Australian War Memorial is in Kings Park overlooking Perth water and attracts around 40,000 for the dawn service.
Later in the day when this photo was taken people will continue to come to pay their respects to those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice in all the wars Australians have served in.
