Jan cooks up a storm...

Public holiday today for ANZAC remembrances. This afternoon and evening were spent with our good friends Ben and Jan and their three character cats, Sid, Tigger and Rue.

While the boys blatted about in Bottle Lake on their bikes, Jan and I took a stroll around the reserve across the road from their home. And the cats came too! Apparently the cats spend a lot of time over there and it was lovely to have them follow us round, grooving the the garden beds while we sat at a table and chatted. Then they led the way home.

Dave came home with a bloody knee after taking a tumble but once he was showered with beer in hand, all was well with the world. Ben did some pork in a smoker which was delicious and those lemon souffles Jan is preparing here? Quite divine. Lots of laughs and stories.
