gardening for a living
being what my dad does, as well as gardening at home for veg and pleasure (the two sometimes coincide, but not always - see yesterday's blip!). and now and again i give him a hand, esp with hedging jobs, as the cutting is only half the issue, the rest being sweeping up and carrying away. a couple of summers ago, when i wasn't working many shifts, we did a whole string of hedges that were massive jobs. now those hedges are all manageable, but this garden is still a huge task as there's probly half a mile to cut and clear, considering each (long) hedge has two sides. we got thru a fair bit today tho, and it was pleasant being outside for a change.
i did take a pic of the hedge, but it was a bit dull, so here's another bit of the garden instead (tiny bit of ancient holly hedge just peeking in a the left of the shot!).
