Rain measure

Stats that half of the month's average rain has fallen in the last 48 hours...and I have proof in the garden. This wheelbarrow, (which incidentally was one of my Mum and Dad's wedding presents so a real vintage) was empty on Sunday!
I hear on the radio that the Environment Agency that is not the right kind of rain to penetrate deep down soil levels. Joy.
