Rain again - Or DROUGHT wot drought?

I remember 1976.

From Autumn 1975, September, until August 1976 hardly any rain fell on me.

I remember the neighbours cat, she looked more and more dessicated!

We had a water butt in the garden which actually dried out. The green slime dried out in the bottom and Dad's onions refused to swell.

Crops failed all over the UK and Mum complained about the price of peas.

So imagine my disbelief, when they tell me that this is worse than it was then? It hasn't stopped raining for days. the dog is damp and my shoes are constantly moist.

Here's a puddle. I got very wet. Twice!!
