Lady of the lake

Headed home today. I took a detour via the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, near Wakefield. Perhaps not the best day for it...driving rain and wind, but I persevered. It would be beautiful on a dry, sunny day - the sculptures are set in about 50 acres of parkland. Despite the wet, I still enjoyed seeing some of the sculptures but I did get somewhat soaked!

This sculpture is Draped Seated Woman (1957-1958, bronze) by Henry Moore. If you look closely you can see the driving rain!! There is a website dedicated to Henry Moore here...and Wikipedia article here for those who want more information the Yorkshire-born sculptor.
