Hmm.. second food picture in a row. Must.try.harder.

A real bonus of working from home is having surprise guests over for a (slightly extended) lunch break. My Mum came over today, so I made us some celery soup and we all ate too much french stick.

I spent the evening with one of my oldest friends watching Bombay Beach; a beautifully shot documentary looking at a deprived area in California. We live near a seaside shanty town called Jaywick, which is surely the UK's version of this kind of forgotten place. Both home to faded dreams and abandoned prospects. Unfortunately Jaywick is far less sun-bleached.
