playing favorites

These probably look like a ratty old pair of shoes to you. To me they are princess slippers and my favorite shoes in the world. Perhaps the fashion conscious among you will notice the red sole and know what that means. For thirteen years they have been my house shoes and they made me happy every time I slipped them on. I love the color and sheen of the fabric, the detail of the trim and from the first day they fit my foot like a kid glove.

As you know I am unpacking boxes and have decided to give or throw away the excess and no longer useful bits. I know these should go in the bin but I love them so... If I could, I would have this shoe made new again every year toss all the rest.
