Another room of mine

Today was back to teaching and it was a good day in both schools, which went in quite quickly.

During lunch Oscar took me to see a potential host family. It was in a really great location in the centre of Santa Marta but I don't think I'm too keen. The whole meeting was kind of awkward with us waiting in the lobby sort of of area for a while seeing if this girl Karen was going to arrive. And then she did just as we were leaving and I was quickly shown the room (the older lady just pointed out the bed and fan to me). They didn't seem all that friendly and there's a lot of people in the house that I don't think I'd ever get to sit down and talk to or get to know anyone. The little girl living there was very cute though, but I think I'm spending enough hours a day with little cute kids without actually living with one. Hopefully all goes well with the other host family that's slightly further out from town.

We had a meeting for the foundation at 12.30 at the Brisa Loca so I just ended up getting lunch there. The meeting didn't last too long so Sarah and I headed to the pool for a little dip and bit of sunbathing. There was a lilo which I obviously got attracted to and ended up getting on it, clothes and all which resulted in me being kind of soaked for the rest of the day.

After the school in Oasis finished we all headed into town and Sarah showed me the hairdressers she goes to. I didn't actually want my hair cut today but because Sarah took me there and we actually went inside I felt obliged to. It needed cut anyways, but maybe not as much as the hairdresser ended up cutting off :o She convinced me into getting layers and was snapping away at my hair like I was a barbie doll. I did not like the gathering pile of my hair on the floor below. But in the end it turned out ok. It's kind of short but I kind of like it at the same time (especially in this heat).

After that it was back to the hostel to chill for the rest of the evening and I did some uni work as the assignment deadline is getting close. I forgot again to take pictures today, don't know what is coming over me after how obsessed I was in La Paz. But since I have taken pictures of all my rooms so far I thought I'd do the same here!
