I took this shot while waiting for a friend to arrive to go and see the Jackson Pollock centennial that's on at the moment. The show wasn't bad, but not as impressive as I thought it would be; only a few of what they showed had any "wow" factor. And there wasn't much in the way of English explanations either, which unfortunately is par for the course for Tokyo museums.
What was much better though was a little collection of photos of 1960s Shinjuku by Takanashi Yutaka that they had upstairs. In some respects Tokyo looks totally different now, but in other ways, I got the feeling that I could walk out the museum and take the exact same photo right then and there because some things really haven't changed that much.
