Riverside

The Riverside Museum, Glasgow.

This building caused a bit of controversy - it cost over 7 million pounds I believe. The designer apparently drew a freehand squiggle and that was her design finished. I like it.

Now I don't know how much of that is true and how much is myth.
It reminds me of a classic Glasgow myth regarding the Kelvingrove Museum. The architect supposedly committed suicide after visiting the finished article as it had been built the wrong way round - ie. the front entrance was at the back of the building.

This is a complete fabrication, the museum does look back to front but only because of the way the surrounding area has developed over the years - nothing to do with the builders mixing up the plans.
Good story though.
