Trip down Memory Lane

Conway Tunnel.

When we were kids we used to go to Penmaenmawr in North Wales for our summer holiday.

I remember waiting for Dad to shut the shop on Saturday night before we could head off on our travels to stay in a Guest House on the sea front across from the railway line.

The highlight of this journey was going through the Conway Tunnel - it was the tradition for drivers to beep their horns on the way through and we were so excited for Dad to follow suit. We knew then that we were nearly there!

We used to have a beach hut too so the adults could have a nice cup of tea while we played on the beach.

Happy days!
