Pont de Beissat sur la Gartempe
You can't see this bridge from the road, but we've been past it before when driving from Le Dorat to Bellac. Depending on which website you look at, it was built in either the 13th or the 15th century, so it's at least 600 years old.
There are swifts zipping about above the river (the Gartempe) and no matter how hard I tried, they were still blurry even using a speed burst from the camera. Fascinating to watch though.
The weather seems to be improving slightly, which means I might be able to sit outside and get a snap of some of the birds down here, especially as there are resident Nightingales !!
