The Little Moments

Rest In Peace

He'd have loved the turn out today. He loved a good occasion. Today's was fittingly so. The congregation spreads to the left, to the right. Orders of services ran out 20 minutes before his service. He was of course late. He had to be. It wouldnt have been right if he'd been on time. He was remembered as he truly was. His generosity, his huge heart, his frustrating strong will. His untidyness. His love. He was there - in the words of others, in his beautiful grandchildren and daughters, in spirit.

There was only one choice where to go after. We toasted his memory at the Harbour Bar. With ice cream and toasties. Just how he liked it. I miss him a lot today.
