What a find!
I know you're looking at this thinking what a bizarre thing to photograph, why choose a dead flower! Well.....there is some history in this flower :)
Believe it or not this flower is Laurence's button hole from our wedding which is 8 years ago this year! Its crazy to look at it and see how well it has survived time. It has moved house with us 2 times and yet is still in one piece. I actually thought I had lost it in the most recent house move so was surprised to find them (I also have my dad's thistle button hole) tucked at the back of a kitchen drawer :)
I have no idea how they have stayed so well preserved I can only put it down to having kept them in the fridge for about 7 years, lol!
Finding them has made me all sentimental about my wedding so I have promised myself and the kids that we will get the huge crate of wedding photo's and mementos out of the attic and have a look through them together sometime soon. May even have a go of my wedding dress again too!
So with this in mind dont be surprised to see some wedding themed blips popping up in the near future. Its funny how powerful an item can be at triggering memories of happy times!
