Watercolour using Unryu Paper

Unryu ( said "un - rue") is the lightest version of Mulberry paper, with the traditional thin strips of inner bark from the Mulberry incorporated into the paper sheet for texture.
You can see the white un-used piece above the art and the colored pieces as they dry in the upper right corner. It is also called Japanese rice paper, however, most unryu is not made with the less expensive rice stalks.
You can't use this paper as the base paper in Sumi-e.
I applied an underglaze of colour, tore sections of the paper, painted them, and when dried applied with a water-based glue. Then I will over glaze with more color.
