Update Mickey (cushings disease)

Today I again went to my own bird vet Peter Bastiaansen with Mickey. The last few days she is gaining weight again and she is getting Furosemide 3 times per day (fluid fighters) and that is strange.. Because if there would be more fluids in her tummy and she will loose that because of the fluid fighters she had to LOOSE weight. Her poop is also not very wet anymore. First of all Peter did a clinical checkup and you could see under the skin of her tummy that it is quite yellow (fat?).
Peter suggested to do another x-ray. The photos are sent to dr Yvonne van Zeeland (the vet from the University clinic were Mickey is treated for the cushings disease) and the conclusion is that first of all her lungs looks a little bit better (Aspergilloses) and also that there is not much fluid anymore in her lower tummy. But... There is something there which doesn't belong there. The liver is very very big, so they think of more fat in her liver and also in her tummy, that because of the cushings disease. Peter also took some blood and in Utrecht they will do the needed tests.. So have to wait for these results. Of course I can reduce the fluid fighters to twice per day again. May 25 - when I will bring her to Utrecht during my vacation - they will do more tests and probably also a CT-scan again (pfffff.... so expensive). Thanks for listening again....
