Beard of Suspicion

Brian has taken to growing a beard. He has been doing this for some time now. Everyone needs a hobby and he's rather good at it.

It was a long day in meetings today peppered with rushing around to get daily chores done between power-point slides.

And then a very nice meal with a glass of beer at Compass down in Leith.

Just before dinner a text arrived informing me that folks were meeting up across town. Never mind.

After dinner and across town to meet up just as folks were finishing up and leaving.

But not Brian.

He stayed and eyed me suspiciously as I grabbed an overdue blip.

A bit too dark and soft.

Or was that the beer?
