Bay leaf

Tonight I made a chicken, mushroom and courgette risotto. I used a couple of bay leaves in it, I love the rich flavour they impart. (Kariba: you would have been proud of me, it was delicious).

Dave bought me a bay tree about 10 years ago. It lived in a pot which is good as i was able to bring it with me when we moved and transplant it into one of the two half oak barrels that were in our new garden. It is doing well. It is lovely to go and pick a leaf or two when needed. I see I was in a botanical mood a year ago too.
