finally got the tripod out

to shoot this alley I've been eyeing up for some time now. It's only a block away from home and I walk by it a lot a night, but just could never seem to hold my hands perfectly steady for a 10 second exposure like this. Well, now it's done.

I love alleys at night. I love the unkempt rear of buildings, the telephone poles/wires, the multiple light sources and color tempertures, the shadows, the garbage, the vanishing point. I particularly like how the green light complements the purplish sky in this one.
