Musée d'Orsay

Th and I spent part of the afternoon at the Musée d'Orsay. We got the audio guides this time... they were pretty good though some of the explanations weren't quite as thorough as we would have liked and they only have commentary for 60 works. Still, the guide is an app for iphones and I will suggest to my students in EURO*2200 next year that they get it.

Th loves art nouveau and we had a great time seeing the furniture and arts décoratifs in that style. Plus, she introduced me to the maxi-pistachio éclairs that they have in the coffee shop and that she'd had with her aunt. Delicious!

As you can see through the clock-window, it was a grey day so perfect museum weather. J and Ch had a nice lunch out and tried out velibs' in the park... unfortunately, they are not really made for kids and Ch found her bike too heavy and hard to ride. She's looking forward to getting on her bike back home.
