Herons and Hailstones

Managed to get out today for a bit of air and a slow walk... unfortunately missed the short patch of sunshine and instead got some rain and hail, but nice to be outdoors all the same...

This Heron was looking less that impressed with the weather... I took this at Gosford in Aberlady, and I think there's some young Herons there, as this one was standing guard by a nest. there was a serious racket coming from the nest even though I couldn't see any other heads... it sounded very similar to me when I'm demanding breakfast or cups of tea....
