787 dreamtour
Today after much anticipation the Boeing 787 Dreamliner finally paid a visit to British Airways at the Hatton Cross Engineering Base on its Dream tour. 600 staff were invited to a look-around this afternoon and I was lucky enough to be there. I took lots of photos of different aspects of the aircraft. For me the two design features which stood out were the shape of the wings and the smooth nose. Here is a close-up view of the nose with the hangar doors of TBA as a backdrop. It is one of the oldest hangars at the BA base still in existence and it is a grade II listed building because of its advanced at-the-time engineering features. Now it will house BA's most technologically advanced aircraft when it finally enters service early in 2013.
