A lovely Day

I have had a lovely day off work today :) this morning at about 8am we had torrential rain I really thought oh no I have the pups to walk! But by 09:30 the rain had stopped at the sky was blue! so in the car we went to Freshwater to Fort Victoria where we walked up through the forest, back down a rugged path through the woods at the top of the cliff on to the beach, was lovely! saw two red squirrels,I was tempted to blip them but thought this boat and the view of Hurst castle was nice.
Hurst Castle is built on a long shingle spit, The Hurst Lighthouse is a reminder of the maritime history of the area and a time when it was a common route to the mainland.King Charles the 1st was held prisoner in Hurst castle before his last journey to London from Carisbrooke Castle.
Yes a lovely morning, then in the afternoon met a friend for coffee and a browse round the town. what more could you ask for on a day off.
