Tomorrow is her turn: ( s)heroes

Maybe one day she'll play this beautiful song by Charles Aznavour. Or maybe she'll write a new one. One of the things I hope for Bella is that she will have the courage of her convictions.

Among my (s)heroes are introverts who crave a peaceful life but subject themselves to stress and public scrutiny in order to make the world a safer, more just and reasonable place for those who will follow them. One of our Portland Blippers, who I haven't yet met in person, is doing that. Thanks, BeautifulLife.

And thanks to Phil and Cynthia, seen here in a picture by Grazingllama, who have made Portland a more wonderful city for me by the pleasure of their appreciation. Travel home safely tomorrow. The affections of your new friends travel with you.
