Christchurch netball centre and all 40 odd courts were teeming players, supporters and umpires today on the first day of the season. The yells of friendly advice and support and screech of umpires whistles could be heard all over the courts and even over the sound of a rescue helicopter landing then taking off again.
This chaos happens every Saturday from around 8:30 till 4:00.
However for 5-10 weeks an extra round of games from 4 till 4:45ish will be played as 6 of the courts are getting repairs and are unusable because of earthquake damage [welcome to christchurch].
